You know, I started reading the comment before I read the username and I knew it was your troll account, mxlplx

I think it's because most people of reddit's overall demographic couldn't give two shits about the monarchy. Myself included.

A long time ago in Los Angeles, someone asked me what Toronto does better than any other city in the world. I couldn't think of a single thing. Can you? by BelugaTaquitoin toronto

Not sure why you got so downvoted here. Perhaps they thought you were responding directly to me.

Planning A Camp/Bike trip for the first week of June down the Oregon coast. Any suggestions for Campsites/Trails by Hobofettin camping

I repeat. If you are at a park that has hiker/biker facilities (meaning, no motor vehicle), ALL (as in every last one) state parks in Oregon are 5-6 dollars.

I'm not sure why you couldn't look that up.

Are you kidding me? NYC has so much more going for it than Toronto. They're barely comparable.

Yes. If you're a hiker or a bicycle tourist, as I mentioned above, state parks charge you $5 a night in Oregon. I know this because I toured the coast last summer.

If you're bike touring, hiker/biker sites are like $5 a night. And the facilities are amazing. So many places to camp along the coast.

Sorry. I should say that it was valued at $100 billion.

This number should scare facebook users more than it does. Its worth is in how much information it has on you. Currently, there are privacy laws that protect consumers from this sort of personal data exploitation. But, when a single company has more money than most countries, how hard is it to buy the ability to use that data in any way they wish?

Attention hipsters: Riding a bike at night with no lights is not such a smart idea by walrus0in vancouver

Not literally. But they're certainly a deterrent.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. A lot of people in this city don't ride because they don't want to wear a helmet. It's also the reason why a half-decent bike-share program will never take off in this city in the same way it has in places like Montreal.

[–]LeCollectif 3 points4 points ago

No it's not. The lack of safety gear is usually from new or very occasional cyclists. It is not a widespread phenomena.

Also, I personally think that helmet laws prevent more people from riding. And that the health benefits from more people riding bikes would offset the costs of head injuries in the long run.

Full disclosure: I'm a helmet-wearing, self-admitted hipster.

I know the skyrim jokes are old. But, because I literally took something to the knee, I felt it was warranted.

That's not just a scab - it's an incision.

Thanks. Yeah, I see the distinction now.

Honest question: Is it really illegal to take pictures of someone's house?

Goldfish: Ah, I see the educational component a little more clearly now. Maybe it needs a bit of body copy to tie it all together?

At work and don't have much time to go through step by step. But bear with me here.

Chickfil-a - concept's good, and the cause in of itself actually matters to me. Some of the copy is a bit clunky, but that's subjective. I'd say review it see where you think it might be awkward (one example: Where will the humiliation end?)

Goldfish - the Venn diagram one is great. Snack < Trophy I don't get. The coloured one I also don't get. Not sure why, but I really don't like the tagline of 'delicious visual aids' for obvious albeit lowbrow reasons.

Bose. A lot of the print stuff is employing a see-say approach. That is, saying something and showing it same thing. Becomes redundant. Theatre of the mind is great. "Hey did you hear that? Yes you did" doesn't make sense to me.

Bic stuff feels like filler. And like I said, doesn't stack up to existing work.

Trivial Pursuit: The concept just isn't there yet. I definitely appreciate the approach you took, but there's a larger opportunity to do something really fun. Also "Enter into" is redundant. Some of the copy feels forced, thus hard to digest.

Overall, man, you're going in the right direction. Here's a fact: your book a) has to be as good as anything that wins awards, and b) will be judged by the worst piece in it.

Full disclosure: I did not look at any of the vids or interactive elements you provided.

Edit: Good luck, Mr. Goldfish.

Head's up. You have a spelling mistake in your first Nikon ad (it's vs its). That can be a deal breaker for a lot of CDs.

  • Chick-fila - Not bad.
  • I like some of the bose stuff. But some of it falls short.
  • The Maxell stuff needs improvement. However, I'd consider getting rid of it altogether as you already have an audio product in there.
  • Bic ads have been sweeping awards shows since awards shows existed. Can you compete with that? If not (and right now, you're not), then don't.
  • Ebay - keep working at it. The concept overall is good. But each execution makes me go meh.

Don't take the criticism the wrong way - this shows promise. But there are other jr books out there that would blow this out of the water. You're about 70% there.
