The Doctor's child?? by Judy-Leein doctorwho

Here's an article about Susan. We really don't have any definitive answers about any members of the Doctor's family, unfortunately.

And the peculiar thing is this, my friends: the coffee we had on that fateful night didn't actually taste anything like this blend!

So I just finished Atlantis and have a question or two. [Spoilers] by c08027179in Stargate

[–]LadyDisdain 8 points9 points ago

Sadly, that's what happens when a show gets unexpectedly canceled. Could have been worse! (Farscape, anyone?) There was supposed to be a movie in which Atlantis is temporarily moved to the moon, but I think the franchise is mostly out of funds.

What is the cheapest item you have scored that paid off for quite a while? by project_valientin AskReddit

[–]LadyDisdain 12 points13 points ago

I used to work in the backroom of a store and found a 48 inch LCD TV that had somehow missed being cataloged. I updated the price and discovered it could be sold for 350 dollars since it had gone so long without being merchandized. About six years later I still have it, and it works great.

1st Time Creating A Character... thinking a Rogue by coojd2004in Pathfinder_RPG

They are really effective. They can do just about anything. My monk fills a tank/DPS role, depending on the party comp. Here's some more monk info.

I've never played a spellcaster before and my party is going to need a healer. Thinking of playing a Warpriest (prestige class); any tips? by Sapiens_Ursusin rpg

[–]LadyDisdain 2 points3 points ago

I play a cleric in Pathfinder, and it's just about the best class for healing I've tried. The channel energy spell for group healing can't be beaten.

[–]LadyDisdain 2 points3 points ago

I've always thought rogues were a little challenging for first-time players - at least it was for me. I switched to monk, and it's a lot of fun. You don't have to worry about weapons or armor really, so it's nice and simple. The important thing is to just have fun and choose a class that you'll really enjoy.

The look on May's face absolutely broke my heart by obsidiannight21in TopGear

[–]LadyDisdain 3 points4 points ago

I'd seen newer episodes than this Middle east special before actually watching it, but I was still so scared for James. They may joke about abandoning each other on the Road of Death in South America, but when one of them is actually hurt... they don't mess around.

When my grandma broke her hip the doctor asked my her how she fell. She replied, "Well *hard* of course!". What are your best funny grandparent memories? by Panda_De_Guerrein AskReddit

My grandpa is dying due to kidney failure. He woke up for a short time last week, and my aunt asked him how he was feeling. "Pretty good," he said, "but I could sure use a breakfast beer."

Overdose on vitamin C. Take around 6 pills if you feel like you're getting one. Works every time. Vitamin C is water-soluble, so there's no harmful effects.

I've been wondering this when i visit this subreddit. by musicmanrobvin doctorwho

[–]LadyDisdain 5 points6 points ago

A valid opinion, and you are welcome to it; however, it's not how I picture my Doctor acting. My Doctor accepts things that are beyond his control and enjoys the time he has. I think Nine was happy as he was. He'd finally worked his way out of his post-Time War depression and was very happy with Rose, and just as everything was getting better, it was all taken away. That seems far more unfair, to me at least, than the comparatively long life that Ten had.

[–]LadyDisdain 35 points36 points ago

Yes! Plus, he knew when it was his time to go, and he did it without whining. My friend just watched Ten's last episode with me, and told me that Tennant is no longer her favorite because how he went out. That's not how the Doctor should act. The Doctor should be... fantastic.

Another good one: "Democracy is simply the bludgeoning of the people, by the people, for the people." It's by Oscar Wilde.
