You can use energy drain to stagger targets, hit them with bodyshots.

Even poor shots can take out number of targets one by one.

This isn't the way that ME3 works. No bonus damage to any particular protection.

The protections themselves are now stronger - armor giving flat damage reduction, and shields/barriers giving scaling damage reduction/gating mechanism.

Think it was designed as a group damage amp. Gets better if your group is really good, but at that point it becomes unnecessary.

Maybe instant travel, maybe greater area of effect. Not quite sure what the breakpoint would be.

Go into the user lists on the sidebar, add some people and go have some random/random fun.

I've never had problems finding gold randoms myself. Just host the games yourself and the lobby will fill up either with challenge seekers or newbies who didn't set any parameters before quick match.

You need a shotgun or pistol with melee mod to make this work. Armor piercing is also probably going to be required early in the game, to handle Guardians.

Still not all that wise to go around slapping reapers, especially late game when all you get are brutes and banshees. Close quarters infiltrators at that point should just pack a shotgun and play it straight.

Some people on BSN have pointed to the turret being the best way to balance the Quarian Engineer. I still think Cryo Blast needs some reworking to make it worthwhile over its damaging counterparts.

QE is still lower - mid tier in my books. The damage potential is still kind of lacking.

One of my more striking memories from single player is the N7 mission on firebase white, where an Atlas mech falls from the sky onto the LZ.

The fact that this spawn effect doesn't happen in multiplayer is a travesty. (Also the last few minutes of the ending blah blah blah...)

You get uncommon cards instead of equipment consumables when you buy a spectre pack, if you don't have your uncommons maxed out.

If you're aiming to get gold weapons, then just buy the gold packs. Buying veteran packs has always seemed like a waste of time and credits to me.

It's not like you need all the silver weapons at X to get all the gold ones at X. I certainly don't.

Headshot modifier does apply to shields. The extra damage over shields will be subject to shield gate reduction.

On gold that's entirely overkill for single shots.

I think that's just because it was a comparatively good weapon. The other weapons that people were familiar with from ME2 got shafted in the transition, particularly the incisor and the viper.

Mostly because they felt weak, and later on we agreed that they were designed poorly for the ME3 meta.

Also the widow was actually really good back then. Shield gating wasn't a thing, so you didn't really lose anything from firing the most powerful round you could.
