Ah yes, the non barbaric and bloodless Mongolian punishment - death of ten thousand whiffle ball bat whacks

I'd think you'd hardly feel the bullet pass through, just the quick loss of blood and consciousness. Probably would be quick and without all that "oh god he's cutting through my neck with a dull knife" aspect.

You may want to consider doing genetic testing as well. I signed up on 23andme.com when they were doing their genetic test specials and the results were pretty interesting. The pluses are that you get to see positive aspects of your genes, where your ancestry came from and potential relatives, but more importantly it shows you if you have markers for rare diseases (like celiac).

They're uncovering new disease markers all the time so if nothing else you might uncover an answer with time.

I hope you get better, man.

Coffee drinking linked to longer life by vajavin Health

[–]Jasonlovestummyrub 1 point2 points ago

Going to take a stab at this one, but could there be a correlation between high levels of coffee consumption and participants engaged in salaried jobs?

Someone who would consistently drink 1 cup each day would be, in my mind, someone who would likely have a steady income coming in. Money would also mean a higher likelihood of health insurance and hospital care / screen check-ups.

This would be the equivalent of female insured getting health insurance rates jacked up in prime baby making years due to maternity costs.

Wouldn't say Mitsurugi was the skilled veteran. His moves were so damaging and easy to slice with.

Likely it's just Peyronie's Disease, "plaque" build up on scar tissue of the injury. Lots of men have it and typically doesn't effect sex

This man, due to neglect in the duty of his job, led to the direct death of a young 14 year old boy and the order of police grant him a second chance? That kid was likely tortured in so many ways before he died, and that guy was put back on the force?

jesus.

So... Jeffery Dahmer went to my friend's dad's school. Found this in his year book. by mingtehmercilessin WTF

[–]Jasonlovestummyrub 42 points43 points ago

"In the early morning hours of May 27, 1991, 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone (by coincidence, the younger brother of the boy whom Dahmer had molested) was discovered on the street, wandering naked, heavily under the influence of drugs and bleeding from his rectum. Two young women from the neighborhood found the dazed boy and called 911. Dahmer chased his victim down and tried to take him away, but the women stopped him.[30] Dahmer told John Balcerzak and Joseph Gabrish, police officers dispatched to the scene, that Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend, and that they had an argument while drinking. Against the protests of the two women who had called 911, the officers turned him over to Dahmer. They later reported smelling a strange scent while inside Dahmer's apartment, but did not investigate it. The smell was the body of Tony Hughes, Dahmer's previous victim, decomposing in the bedroom. The officers did not make any attempt to verify Sinthasomphone's age and failed to run a background check that would have revealed Dahmer was a convicted child molester still under probation.[31] Later that night, Dahmer killed and dismembered Sinthasomphone, keeping his skull as a souvenir."

I hope at least THOSE cops were fired.

Well, Disney does own Marvel now. I'm seeing a pattern going in the creative workshops over there.

A California Woman Blinded for 'Contempt of Cop': Hernandez who was suspected of drunk driving, resisted being handcuffed. Cop used a JPX device to fire a stream of pepper-spray at her at close-range - "blowing apart her right eye and leaving the left with severe, irreparable damage." by maxwellhillin politics

[–]Jasonlovestummyrub 1 point2 points ago

I say this everytime, but could someone with some websavvy create an ongoing website with a list of the hundreds of instances like this, what the cop did and the event, and where the cop stands at this moment (still on the force? docked pay? fired?).

Just something that someone in the government could easily point the regular man or woman to and say, "okay, here's the list of the top 100 police offenders.. yes, there is need for police oversight by a higher power".
