Yeah, on the part about international migration, which was totally irrelevant to this discussion. That was right after the citation of a Census bureau report that confirmed "a trend of such people moving away from the Rust Belt and northern Great Plains region towards the West Coast and Southeast." You can read through the linked PDF if you'd like.

That's a lot more logical than "they move there because they are smart, and that's where smart people go because it's better".

I certainly never made such a simplistic argument, so I'm not sure who you're criticizing here. Answering why people move to the coasts and big cities is fairly complex, but it's pretty straightforward to show that they are doing it.

The mid-west is just fine, it's people like you that facilitate this "we're better than you" bullshit attitude.

Um, you're the one that said coastal cities are full of assholes and have a lower quality of living. I merely said that young, educated people are constantly flocking to them, and thus, perhaps you're wrong.
