My dad had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and had been given a couple of days to be at home for the new years. One day he was rushed to the hospital and my mom called me saying 'it is time, come say goodbye'. We got there with my sister and i saw him having convulsion/seizures it just shocked me. We spent 20 minutes chatting but with every shock he kept getting 'further away'. He laid in bed and as I got closer to him he looked me in my eyes and i can't really describe it but it really was like looking into the eyes of death. At that point i knew that although he was alive he wasn't there anymore. I wont ever forget that moment and those eyes.
