My rule for butts is 1.5 hours/lb. at 225F if you're not going to foil. Smaller butts take less, bigger ones more. You can knock a couple hours off by foiling, but you lose your crunchy bark.

The density of the meat changes from butt to butt, so to speak, so your times can vary wildly even if you have two the same weight. You can make an educated guess based on weight, of course, but in the end, the pork decides when it's done. =)
