When you switch weapons, there's a short period of time before you can attack or switch to another weapon. You can experience this yourself by playing Degreaser pyro.

When you have one button doing two commands like that, they don't really run at the same time. They go one after the other with a slight delay.

If you already have your secondary out and press Q, first it runs slot2. It does nothing. Then, a very short period of time later, it runs slot1 and switches to your primary.

If you have your primary out and press Q, it runs slot2 and switches to your secondary. A very short period of time later, it runs slot1, but it isn't allowed to switch weapons yet because of the delay.

Lava has been updated so it drips through blocks. (Just graphically, it doesn't actually go through.) OP found some diamonds, but there's lava above them. If he mined them, they could be destroyed and they could die.

I was playing on a Valve server (yeah, I know, but it's nice to not have to worry about actually doing well sometimes) and there was a heavy like this that pissed me off for three different reasons:

They weren't spamming 'E', they were using voice chat so EVERYONE knew they were a girl, since that's the key to getting what you want in TF2 (sorry to all the girls here, I mean no offence, I know most of you aren't like this, but that was the only reason she was on mic)
She didn't say "Hey, can someone pocket me?", she said "Can a get a medic to follow me around?". It sounds even more self-centered and shows how inexperienced you are.
She didn't shut up the entire time I was there. Even after she was pocketed (oh, yeah, people actually did it), she'd start asking again the moment they left. Holy shit, shut your fucking mouth.

I had this problem a while ago. It ended up fixing itself in a couple hours, but while I was looking for a solution I read that, oddly enough, booting up Half Life 2 can fix it. Not sure what the logic behind that is, but if you own it it's worth a shot.
