I've done things like this for exams, especially in ones where spelling counts. Brunelleschi was dog girls tai chi. Brun=bruno=dog's name, elle=girls (french), tai chi just made it an easy image to recall. When I thought of Brunelleschi I pictured little french school girls (like Madeline) doing tai chi with little french dogs.

Tjapaltjarri was mason jars of japanese salt.

I mean, it doesn't help if you don't know who Brunelleschi and Tjapaltjarri are in a sea of other artists, but it does a fucking world of good if you can't remember how to spell it.

Just make sure you have some stability in your life, (like a job you care about, or school) and if you stop losing a grip on that then take a break. Learn to party responsibly. Make the right decisions (that doesn't mean "don't do drugs", just be aware of how you react to them).

For example, MDMA can have a depressing comedown and that could be why you're being so hard on yourself.

I looked at your ikea link. I think I like the other shelf link with the clothing rod is better. It seem to be... easy? It was only a cursory examination. I'm pretty sure you can get the same kind of kit at home depot as well as lowes.

I'm going to be hanging clothes above the radiator, I don't think there will be space for additional shelving there, so the clothing rack you linked wouldn't work as well. The ikea shelves are also a bit easier to look at than a wire clothing rack, and easier to try and position above a doorway or window or something. I'm not sure what kind of space is available above the door, but if there's a bit I'd like to make use of it!

Thanks for the shelf hanging advice. I think my future roommates should have tools.

Do you have any tips for hanging shelves? I've never hung a thing on a wall properly in my life, I hate to say it but I don't know how to do it. I've been looking at some ikea shelving (ekby robert bracket and ekby osten shelf etc), but I don't know how to make sure I put it in the right place and using the right hardware and tools.

The plant hanger + shower curtain rod sounds like a good idea. My family does something similar in some of the bedrooms at our cabin.

You have some good points, but some of it seems to ignore that yeah, rats aren't toys. "I'm tired of seeing pictures of rats out of a cage next to dogs and cats "OH HOW CUTE" " ???? Rats, cats and dogs all have personalities and you can tell whether or not they're going to fuck with each other. They're not just randomizing actions, you can read body language etc and tell if that is safe or not.
