hes large for his weight and height. But its just one of those things where everyone with muscles looks huge on t.v. . we spoke about this in a thread earlier where alot of the fighters look wayy bigger on tv, and some that you dont think are that big, look huge in person.

EDIT: just to be clear on what I was trying to say. yes he is quite large for his division. But probably not quite as he would seem in person to you if you were to meet him.

and then there are the fighters who you dont expect to look that large in person, but are. Met Shogun at ufc 139 and he was way bigger than expected. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, Wanderlei Was much smaller than expected, HUGE freaking head though, and I didnt understand a damn word the man said.

Yea I would rather just drop $50 now and just use them as some crappy pads when I travel around later. The only reason I say this is because like I said, I wont be able to afford AKA this summer and I dont want to get rusty, so I would rather just pick up a pair of crap pads til I can get back in. 3-4 months off kick practice is a long time man. but I do eventually plan on picking up the fairtex ones when I can afford them.

awesome, yea its MY only board. But my surf buddies in so-cal are always more than happy to share :) so its no biggie. and haha yea heavyweights are pretty scary, those guys can mess you up for life. I walk at 185 so i could cut to 170. Thanks for your words of wisdom friend!

thanks for the opinion man :) a few things though.

not really my choice, its at my parents place, and they are moving to a smaller place. there is no room in my apartment for it, and I'd feel bad if my parents had to accommodate my massive board for a few years until i move back down to get a place down there.
I have not used it in years just because ive grown to enjoy using a smaller board,which I wouldn't mind dumping the money on when i move back to so-cal in a few years
im not done surfing, id really like to again some day, but I think this board is just not what im into anymore, plus even if I do decide I want to surf a longboard again, ive got friends down there with more boards than they know what to do with haha.
I do really enjoy fight training, its a sport that challenges me like no other. Im not looking to try to make a living off of it at all, its just something fun I really enjoy learning to do and practicing. plus, its excellent exercise.
