Questions about the Brazilian population. by Simbamaticin HeroesofNewerth

Honestly,I think this plays a part, but not 100% of the problem.

you can see this in every country with lots of internet users but few English speakers,if you're annoyed by not understand BR's,imagine not understanding anyone in the game(not saying they're right to speak pt on international servers).

They get segregated by the English barrier and form their own mafias, they help eachother out and act like assholes to everyone else.in fact, you can see many parallels between the formation of the BR mafia and the "real" Italian mafia.

Trust me,I experienced it,as a Brazilian gamer myself.

Any redditors in Franca ? Foreign exchange student needs advice by Absurdly-Sentencedin Brazil

It's been a while since I lived there, almost 6 years, but the bus ride was about 4BRL(a bit less, actually, but I'm accounting for inflation.)To go to SP it was about 6 hours and cost me about 60 BRL(probably changed a lot, these fluctuate heavily)

The major problem is going to be the food,I think.I don't know how Moroccan food compares to Brazilian, but I guess they're very different, and cheap food in Brazil is almost exclusively Brazilian. Unless you go for fast food,in which case would cost about 6~8 BRL a meal.

2500 BRL isn't really that tight, the average Brazilian makes much less than that, and doesn't get free accommodations. My guess is that you could live comfortably with that money, especially if you like rice and beans.

Brazilians are generally very open with foreign people, but don't expect them to know English, make a bit of an effort to learn common phrases in Portuguese,or always go out with another Brazilian.I also would advise you against being very open about your religion,if you are a muslim, you know how people get crazy about that.

I don't know much about the nightlife, because I was too young (16) when I lived there and it probably changed a ton since then.

May I ask how much are we talking about here?

Franca Is a very nice town,I lived there for 2 years, cheaper than any big city,of course, but not much.

If your accommodation is close to the university I suppose you aren't going to spend a lot with transportation,a bus ride is reasonably cheap.

Be careful with electronics tough, they are expensive as hell in Brazil, also cheap good clothes are a bit hard to find, but it's only 2 months so I guess it won't be a problem.
