When I was about 12 -13 we would go to my grandma's house and go swimming in her pool. In my infinite boyhood wisdom I thought it would be sweet to jump off the diving board and try to land in one of those swimming rings for babies that you can put your legs through. So I jumped as high as i could with an added frontflip and was set to land perfectly. My legs instantly got stuck in the floatie thing and my forward momentum flipped the ring and I over. So I became stuck with my head under water by a children's pool toy in the deep end. For about a minute I tried to flip back over but that was more difficult than it seem and so i decided to try to swim doggie paddle style without my legs to the edge. I popped the floatie when I got out and threw it in the trash.

TL;DR: Almost died from a pool toy.
