TROPHY CASE

Weekly Puzzle Challenge #003: The Secret Society [Can you solve the Puzzle that stumped Bill Gates?] by Cubehamsterin redstone

[–]Drehmini 0 points1 point ago

Same I was doing some complex mathematical equations, but after just watching the dice a few times (after 2 hrs of trying to figure out the pattern from the set of numbers) I got it.

This was awesome! I loved the puzzle.

You need to set up sabNZBD in conjunction with Sickbeard.

Makeuseof has a decent guide for setting it up all up and making it work with each other : http://www.makeuseof.com/pages/how-to-make-use-of-usenet-for-file-sharing

Yeah, but I've determined that the more expensive the writing implement; the odds of it disappearing increase proportionally.

When has has the game industry pissed you off the most? by human_gsin Games

[–]Drehmini 0 points1 point ago

Absolutely. I think this is the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming, the second being draconian DRM.

I always liked Rogue Spear's description of the MP5 : The silencer resembles the sound of a hammer hitting a sheet of metal.

While true, most people don't build their own computers, which means that the OEM version that came with the computer is what they are stuck with as most companies don't offer a free switch to 64 bit (nor will the support it if you switch).

Which means they will have to buy a new version of 7

I agree, the last question is very very vague. Should definitely be optional.

The drawing was based off Beta screenshots. This is why it's wrong.

Are there any games that allow you to kill quest-vital characters with severe repercussions? by activitusin truegaming

[–]Drehmini 2 points3 points ago

Because it's courteous. Mousing over a spoiler isn't a big inconvenience, unless you're lazy.

Not true, what if you've never heard about it? Or what if you didn't know about a feature and it never intrigued you, or perhaps your tastes have changed?

[–]Drehmini 6 points7 points ago

Because having courtesy is obnoxious?

It's still a spoiler and there are people who haven't played it. Not sure why age or popularity of a media has anything to do with this?

The guy is asking for a game to play that allows you to kill characters that are essential. It's safe to assume he hasn't played Morrowind as this is a pretty easy feature to find. So putting the information he posted in spoilers tag is a valid request.

I know the game is quite old, but do you mind putting the information in spoiler tags?

Prisoner's Dilemma with a twist. (Thanks to the CRYPTO-GRAM) by maldioin netsec

[–]Drehmini 0 points1 point ago

I see, in order for the dilemma to actually work, the punishment of both pleaing should be more severe than if none plea. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

This image helped a lot as well.

Thanks.

Why exactly isn't the best bet to plea guilty?

If the prisoner pleas guilty, he only gets either A) 6 years (because the other plead as well) or B) 1 year because the other guy didn't plea. Both outcomes are better than their counter parts of the other prisoner pleaing and you getting 10 or relying on the other prisoner to not plea and you only get 2.

The way it was explained to me (economics wise) is that you will always want to do what is best for your company as you can't trust other companies. This is why oligopoly cartels don't last very long.
