I don't think that you're unattractive, you have a broadly proportioned face but some of that could just be a bit of youthful fat that you'll lose in time if you keep the gym thing up (it's hard to judge without seeing your full body). Beyond that you're quite cute and shouldn't be disheartened. Your hair and tshirt combination do make you look a bit plain.

It might also help to ditch the band tshirts, its a matter of subjective taste really and you don't necessarily have to dress particularly "feminine " but I often find that that style can make people look immature and dowdy

I always tip in restaurants and cafes, usually in the region of 10 %, even when I'm dissatisfied, I'm kind of stupid that way. Often with taxi drivers I'll round it up to the nearest whatever.
