Same here...I hesitated on buying dogma up until the day before release and I broke down and got it.

I have about 30 other games I hardly even touched that I want to play badly.

All I knew about the game was screenshots, and that it was rumored to be open world, and saw a short clip of the Griffin fight.

I bought it because I am weak willed and was scared to death that I would hate it and have to return it.

Yea, I heard it when I first booted up the game and was like ....wahaaat? J-rock music...for a mid evil fantasy game?

After 10 seconds I was rocking along with it lol, So strange but it felt good.

Exactly, the JRPG influence is there, but you cant tell except for the way some characters react in cutscenes, its quite anime-ish. But it doesnt affect the gameplay at all.

I would compre it to dark or demons souls, where you can see some of the J influence in the design of armor and enemies a little, and the acting a little, but the way the game handles is VERY fluid. Almost like playing assassins creed or god of war. Just the feeling of running full speed and leaping from rooftop to rooftop and tumble rolling when I land does that alone.

the only other JRPGs ive played besides the dark souls series are the final fantasy games and this is NOTHING like those games.

It really is like a frankenstien of skyrim + god of war+ shadow colossus + ass creed.

I initially bought the game worried I would hate it. The only thing I knew was from the demo, and screenshots. But I took the risk and am very happy with it now.

Its ALWAYS the persons fault they got hacked. there are limitless things you can do to secure your passwords that hacking is a non issue unless someone PHYSICALLY uses your computer. Even then, you should lock anyone out of using your computer. If you cant, then dont expect to be secure.

Its open world and you level up like skyrim.

Its got combat like god of war.

You can free run over obstacles and on buildings like assassins creed.

You can climb monsters even big ones, like shadow of the colossus.

You can hire and create and get user created followers to play with you.

Its got so much going on and it works perfectly. The action is fast, smooth, the world is big, the interactions are fluid, the game just feels epic.
