I prefer having a championship game because 9 game conference schedules can decide championships on tiebreakers instead of on the field. While this can happen for division championships, there's a lower chance and nobody division banners aren't very meaningful like a conference trophy is.

I never took away the necessity of the schools staying together from the legislature's actions to bring you in.

I've always thought it was more of a rescue mission from an imploding Big East than something designed to tie VT and UVA to the hip. I'm fairly confident they'd let you move on to greener pastures as UVA would still be in a stable basketball/lacrosse conference which is all they care about.

That should run ARMA II fine on low, it runs fine on my friend's desktop with a 5670 and an Athlon II X2. The 4850M is underclocked but should still be on par with a 5670.

I can't find the quote but a few years ago Silve gave an interview regarding their last TV contract and when asked about how a bunch of schools in underpopulated states managed to blow everyone else out of the water summed it up as quality > quantity.

Fanbase quality trumps TV markets every day. If Texas A&M was in Lubbock they'd have still been added because their fanbase is nuts. Mizzou just happened to be the only team available after the SEC stalled for months.

If TV markets mattered at all FSU and Clemson wouldn't be talked about. Do you really believe VT owns DC the way Georgia owns an entire state top to bottom?

Clemson SC also has an enormous population of 42k with the school counted. Compare that with 107k in just the suburb where Sun Life is.

After seeing the LHN ripped to shreds for months on here I'm perplexed as to how everyone was so retarded. Owning your own Tier III rights is awesome, it might suck a bit if you can't capitalize on them like a top 5 program like Texas can but you're just milking to same alumni/fan money you'd be getting anyways by being a premier team.

It's so awful that Big XII schools get extra millions they wouldn't get in elsewhere.

People who actually grew up with the NES also remembered many games that never took off because they weren't hard because of the amount of skill needed, they were hard because they were cheap and just straight cheated you.

Things like retarded item spawns and the entire temperature system are cheap mechanics. Good weapons should be hard to find. Knives and matches should be in every home just like real life. I can accept wonky AI and a broken hit detection system because those are problems with the game engine. I can't accept a developer bullshitting about realism and then ignoring it in the only things he actually does control.

Limiting the speed limit of lane splitting is the only thing that makes sense. Speed isn't dangerous, speed differentials are. A driver moving at 5 mph isn't thinking as fast as a motorcyclist moving at 30 mph and that ends with a dead rider when the slow driver switches lanes at a lazy pace.

You're allowed to not walk for your college graduation, it's stupid that it's mandatory to put up with the bullshit that is a high school graduation. If you're going to college it's just a roadbump on your way to the real world and if you aren't going to college you're probably going to be seeing those same people every day for the rest of your life. I think it'd be ok to skip the whole damn thing.

It comes down to whether you think the sentence itself is improper or the justice system is improper. I think the system fails often enough but that isn't a reason to condemn the sentence. There are clearly cases where most people come down on the side of keeping the death penalty on the table. I think we should work on making the system better instead of limiting the means with which society has to correct itself.

If the system worked perfectly and we never sentenced a single innocent person to death would you find it moral? I say yes, many people say no.

Plenty of people don't see every ending of a human's life by another as murder though. Otherwise abortion is actually murder, self defense is murder, assisted suicide is murder, etc.
