Anderson Cooper cuts interview with 'Human Barbie' short by kelsbarin videos

[–]Briscotti 3 points4 points ago

Anderson isn't a CNN show, it's a nationally syndicated talk show. I don't think Anderson Cooper has the time to handpick every guest he invites to his talk show.

KICK ASS 2!!!!! Yes the film!! a sequel!! official word!! by sancpe1in movies

[–]Briscotti 1 point2 points ago

I heard they want to shoot in August, which will be a huge problem for Chloe Moretz; she's shooting Carrie in Toronto until the beginning of September. Hopefully Universal opts for a Toronto shoot for Kick-Ass 2 just as they did for the first Kick-Ass film, they seem to have been loving Toronto for productions recently.

The War Measures Act was repealed in 1988 under Brian Mulroney. If you're going to suggest the Federal government enforce an Act, at least make sure it's one that actually exists.

Whelp. Time for me to get off Reddit. I feel as though I vividly remember the last time this was posted; I'm not complaining that it's a repost, I clearly spend too much time here.

“Battleship”: Dumbest military spectacle ever? - Aliens invade a Navy recruitment video and turn back the gender-politics clock in this moronic blockbuster by 1632in movies

Saw it last night. Terrible film, but at least it knows it's terrible. I hardly think it "[turns] back the gender-politics clock" though.

I grew up in the country and my high school was on the border of rural farm land and a medium-large city. A lot of the kids were shipped in from the city either because they lived nearby or because they were in one of the Arts program.

Anyway, the point of my story is that one night a bunch of the city kids decided they would go and try to tip some cows. The one dumbass who led the charge wound up breaking his wrist when he decided to punch the cow. This same idiot once turned up the treadmill in the school's equipment room to high, causing him to trip and smack his face hard against the treadmill. It left a distinctive mark on his face for several days and he earned the name Treadmark that day.

TIL that "King of the hill" was cancelled to make room for "The Cleveland Show" by AntToeKneein todayilearned

[–]Briscotti 2 points3 points ago

It's a very high possibility. The only reason it's coming back in September is because they're already in production on their fourth season. FOX has postponed announcing a fifth season until they see how it does in September, where if it continues to do poorly, may be cancelled. Right now the only thing actually saving it is its recent syndication deal with [adult swim].

She was the first person to speak in Dracula (1931) and recently introduced Universal Studios' restoration of the film at this year's TCM Classic Film Festival.

Yeah, fuck you Academy Award nominated screenwriters Mark Fergus and Hawk Otsby.

I do not see how it is ironic.

‘The Dictator’ Sacha Baron Cohen compliments Stephen Harper for silencing the media by watchman_wenin canada

The film has a pretty good democracy vs. dictatorship speech toward the end, but other than that it's comedically empty.

If it's actually wasps that have been getting you, not bees (a bee will die after it stings and leave the stinger embedded in your flesh, a wasp will fly away unharmed, come back, sting you again, and laugh evilly), then please do not claim you've been stung by bees. People who have not properly identified the yellow and black flying things stinging them make other people nervous about responsible beekeepers in their area, which is super lame.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS. I had a friend tell me a few months ago after reading a report about the dwindling bee population that he'd be okay if all bees died out 'so that [he] doesn't have to worry about getting stung.' When I told him that it's wasps and hornets and yellow jackets that are the assholes and bees are extremely helpful and necessary to our ecosystem, he said he didn't care.

Hepburn was rumoured to love the ladies, if you know what I mean.

I mean it was pretty well known that she was a lesbian, at the very least bisexual.

'The Avengers' would cost New York $160B in damages in real life (video) by ServerGeekin entertainment

Apparently Edgar Wright's current draft calls for flashbacks to Henry Pym as Ant-Man in the 60s and Scott Lang as Ant-Man in the present. Poor Eric O'Grady...

Thought you would like this 'The Iron Giant" poster by m_bird13in movies

[–]Briscotti 0 points1 point ago

It'll be posted online sometime after May 26th on Mondo's site. Chances are the run will be under 300, cost ~$50 and you'll have a window of about 90 seconds to purchase it before they're all gone. Then you can go and pick them up on eBay for ~$350 from people who just buy Mondo posters to immediately resell them to those unlucky enough to miss it.

I'm Frank Warren, founder of PostSecret, caretaker of more than half a million secrets from around the world. AMA by FrankWarrenin IAmA

[–]Briscotti 2 points3 points ago

Hey everyone, I'll be back at 2PM EST today (Thursday) to answer your questions and share secrets from the project.

Frankly I think more AMAs should employ a similar method because by the time they're popular and interesting questions start coming in, the person has already left. Maybe 4 hours is a bit too long, but it allows the community to upvote the more interesting questions and downvote the ones that do not add anything to the conversation like this one.
