Thanks for the info. My sister is a science teacher and was recently talking about a high altitude balloon project. I'm not really interested in RF. Since my background is in software, I'm really looking for ways to leverage that. If I could write scripts and leverage *nix command line to drive robot control, I'd be very happy.

For me, the most impressive thing was the Art of it all. Everything there was recognized for the creativity and ingenuity that was required to make it. Regardless of whether it was a robot or a knitted toy. All things were awesome, and all respected.

Orge was a small pocket game. Car Wars was a world, with ADQ mag's coming out quarterly, and a whole bunch of expansions. Tons of fluff, and tons of great times.

Well, I'm thinking that whatever's next, it needs to scale to matchbox cars. That, or go miniatures route and let us buy/customize/magnetize/paint our own. I'm way past wanting to play with paper cutouts for my vehicles.

I have a boner right now... I was talking to a buddy last week about Interstate 76 game from ~10y (15y) ago, and how no one's captured really captured that Car Wars spirit since then. My fave game was AutoDuel, though. It was full on SJG licenses Cars wars, and my absolute favorite game from that era.
