With the swing, the problem will come when you need to do more than just one line. Making the exact same pattern but a meter apart will be incredibly tough if you don't want to do a second pass.

Because your job will not be finished in time if the geek have to write more script to finish yours. If spending the lowest amount of time working on the task was the goal and the job is the same, just never start and give him from the start...
