So, squad VOIP for PC. Is the feature ever getting added or is it done and dead?

Lack of VoIP is my biggest, if not only gripe with BF3... so I check up on the issue every so often... I'd say DICE is still doing their best to rather ignore the issue or push Battlelog's Voice Chat.

May not help, but for the info... I use a Logitech G500 and MX518 to play BF3 (2 computers). My Mouse button 4 is set as "Generic Button" in Logitech SetPoint... and I have no click-lag using it as my melee button.

Is it a wireless mouse? I have a more generic Logitech Wireless Mouse... I cant use it for gaming, it has a general lag for doing anything... so... I may be no help, you may need advice from somebody with your exact model.

Right now there are about 2,000 people playing COD4. ~500 in the US.

For me, I'm an S&D player, so there's only 1 full server and its tactical... so its not as popular as I'd like it to be... but if you like other modes like TDM, finding a server won't be any problem.

MW2 has about 11,000 people... Counties unknown.

I'd say $10 is reasonable for this Call of Duty title... If not just for single player, its not bad.

As far the multiplayer... Imo, MW2 is better than MW3 because of better map designs... but they're my 2 least favorite COD titles (for multiplayer). As a PC gamer, I'm insulted by IWNET and no Dedicated servers.... but for $10 and some casual online gaming, IWNET is not good, but usable.

Its often in Steam's Top 10 games being played too, so there is still a community there.

Will Mitt Romney continue to lose terrain by not debating? Yes, that is happening now.

If Romney debated would he gain that ground back? No. He would lose much more. Without several candidates Ron Paul would get a lot of time to talk and not be rushed into short answers like past debates. For his opponents, its a very scary thing. Romney wouldn't fend well, and I'm sure he knows this.

Will it happen at the convention? We can only hope Paul does make this happen.

I wish everytime this happens it would be legal to spray paint the parking line over their car. It would be some sweet justice aside from actually sawing the overlapping part of the car off.

I didn't buy it until it was $10 on newegg....

The game wasn't in bad shape.

The only thing I noticed was my framerate was a constant 60 FPS, but still felt choppy at times (Just occasion... nothing terrible. I'm just being picky). My bigger issue was that it HATED my Surround Sound headset. Just blasted static blasts through. Had to set it to Stereo.

Aside from that, we didn't see any issues and had a good time.

Did you play with friends?

Games like this or Borderlands I can't do alone or with randoms... L4D2 and Killing Floor get away with it because of the way they are broken down into mini-campaigns/maps (and they're well above average games).

Glad to see Deadly Shadows MSRP finally knocked down to $10. ($20 is too high for this 8 year old game, imo)

...Now I'll wait for Summer Sale to see it sells cheaper. Its cool that they went on sale upon steam release, but they are still older games that have been on sale elsewhere.... and considering Assassins Creed 1, 2, and BH were just on sale for $5/5/7.5... seems a little steep for me to justify the purcahse right now. ...not to say they weren't great games that can still hold up, especially for $5, just not blown away by the deal.)

Yeah, the average score tends to mean nothing on a site like Metacritic, but... reviews certainly aren't pointless. You just need to find a critic you tend to agree with.

While you are correct, I think /r/games could provide more level headed insight into the game. You can read forums or metacritic user reviews... but most places you'll find all or nothing comments "Best game ever" or "Worst game ever" with little or no explanation, and a lot of times without even playing.

So... I came here hoping to find some beta players who could give a well explained answer. I don't like pre-ordering but it could save me $15 for a game that interests me.

I actually searched before asking this myself.

I like COD (with the exceptions of MW2 and MW3).. and I like Gears of War... so this looks like a game I'd enjoy, if not just for multiplayer.

I was hoping someone in the beta could give some insight, but... this thread got downvoted pretty hard before anyone could see it.
