If you are still attempting to do this, I can try and help you tomorrow. Link the guide you've been trying to use so I can get an idea of what you've been working with.

Can we have a repair all button in the Auction House? by armchair_terroristin Diablo

[–]Andrroid 0 points1 point ago

I'm more interested in an option to cancel orders with no bids honestly. Having a cap on slots and no way to cancel items that clearly aren't selling and thus having to wait 2 days wasn't a very well thought out concept.

Best android tablet for under 200? How about under 300? by StacksOnBlackin Android

This is not up to date.

Sprint raises data pricing for mobile hotspot tethering, going from $30/mo for 5GB ($6/GB) to either $20/mo for 2GB ($10/GB) or $50/mo for 6GB ($8.33/GB) by mepperin Android

[–]Andrroid 3 points4 points ago

There was a post a redditor made quite a few months ago, complaining that his contract was terminated by Sprint. Turned out he was using an absurd amount of data via tethering as a means to provide internet for...everything he did.

So yeah, there are people that are doing it. Hopefully not a lot, but they are out there.

Just remember to not go overboard with it people. We want Sprint to keep unlimited data as an option. Don't be that guy that uses 100GB or more of data for tethering.

What is the best way to prepare an unlocked / rooted phone for selling? by kamelperezin Android

[–]Andrroid 1 point2 points ago

You don't absolutely need to reinstall the rom, though if you want the tether hack to be there after wiping data you'll need to resinstall that.

With that said, I would reflash the rom anyway.

til;dr a tablet is awful for productive use in college.

I'm an electronics engineer major and I literally did not use a paper notebook at all this past semester. It was amazing.

The scorpion model was complete shit aesthetically before they mirrored the wings.

They really need to balance the raven out too.

I want an android device to download torrents and with hdmi ... what would you recommend. by whatthehelppin Android

[–]Andrroid 0 points1 point ago

There are a couple Acer Iconia A100 tablets (used) on swappa for under $200. I think they have 16GB internal memory, sd card slot and hdmi out. Battery life isn't great though from what I've read in reviews (engadget scored it at just under 5 hours). Custom roms may help of course.

Just curious, was a CWM recovery ever made for the Kindle Fire or was it just TWRP?

If you were buying a 7 inch tablet, which one would it be? by Wargazmin Android

[–]Andrroid 0 points1 point ago

A new dev got brought in for the Nook Tablet (donation drive to get him a device). He's apparently an expert on what has been holding the devs back with the 3.0 Kernel. ICS development on the Fire is definitely further ahead (I follow both devices) but the crappy form factor and lack of sd slot on the fire are permanent; ICS development will change over time. Also being able to dual boot on the Nook tablet is huge for people that are averse to modifying the internal OS.

I think its worthy to note that for some people, stopping after step 4 may be just enough. Maybe include an alternate step 5 that includes installing instructions for at least getting the play store on there.

Nook Tablet is currently available on eBay for only $149 from Barnes & Noble!! (Limited Time Only) by scrantonfanin nook

[–]Andrroid 0 points1 point ago

Well in that case, this actually isn't the first time they've done this.

And its largely their own fault. Had they released the 8GB, $200 model the same time that they release the 16GB, $250 model, the roles would be entirely reversed. The Nook Tablet would continue to hold the 7" tablet dominance as the Nook Color did for a year.

Its not a personal sale. Its through the B&N ebay store.

Nice observation skills.

Damn I love devs that provide concise change logs like that.

Can you ask him to come join the Nook Tablet family? While there's a few really hard working devs over there, development quantity and variety is really scarce.

"Considerably worse"? I'm so sorry to have offended you.

Yeah being passive aggressive is cool isn't it?

My point was that your comment contributed nothing to the discussion besides being yet another "I hate this game" bandwagon rider.
