The McLaren also seems to have a fairly high rake angle, which might counter-act the downforce advantage of the stepped nose. They've also got an interesting twist under the nose that's supposed to help downforce, too.

The seagulls were having a field day today! There were loads of fish washed up, all with their flesh and eyes pecked clean. I did wonder whether it was all stuff that had been thrown overboard, though.

It's worth noting that LR4 Beta catalogues might not be importable into LR4 final, although I think LR4 final will be able to import LR2/3 catalogues.

I'd love to do something similar. I think you'd need either a very-well weighted down tripod, or on a windless night, otherwise you could easily waste a two hour exposure.

I've been playing around with the DSLR controller app on my Android tablet, and I'd love to see a partial exposure view that shows the progressive exposure over a period of time. I don't know if that's possible with the current camera firmware.

Lovely shot! It's always difficult to find non-obvious and interesting frames along the beach. I need to do a bit of a trek along and find some nice places. Any recommendations?

The filters are just slot-in Cokin filters, and I think there's a 2-stop ND filter and a 2-stop ND grad filter. I took it a few months ago, but remember that the sky was pretty vivid anyway.

EOS 550D, Tamron 18-50mm f/2.8 with some ND filters. 15s exposure. Shot as a single RAW, but converted to 'pseudo-HDR' using Photomatix - a neat piece of software I recently discovered.
