There, now was that so very hard? Ive referenced Those gaps before but double checked to be sure. as far as i can tell with google, a phys book and a few immuno books those gaps close shortly after birth. I can find nothing to support your claim of them remaining for months on end

Seriously in a 16 player team, I'll look around and see two people. One time, I even went to both generator rooms and no one was there except the defenders. Where the hell was everyone else? I traverse the entire map as a capper/chaser but only see a handful of people.

I don't really see it as a problem, but to fix it would be to spawn as naked pathfinders. However, that opens up its own can of worms.

Did that, didn't find anything in regards to humans being the exception to the common constraints on prolonged absorption . Wasn't mentioned in any of my courses and I've never heard of it since then except for people on the internet that don't know what they're talking about.

I'm done with this until you can provide a citation. Otherwise, you're full of shit and just refuse to provide information because you dug yourself in too deep and can't put aside your ego to stop spreading misinformation.

Damn! Didn't make the list!

There needs to be a 'loner' or 'creepy solitary guy' category or some such. Goes, shoots, checks targets, shoots, targets, goes home.

Fires off 40 rounds of ammo bought at local store (for full price) as quickly as possible.

Uhm...do people generally pay less than the advertised price or something?

Why do you think it is limited? It is not. Antibodies continue to be passed on to infants' blood streams up to 6 months and beyond.

Give me a citation on that, and don't give me that 'look it up yourself, I'm not doing your research for you' bullshit.

I'm fairly confident that it's limited, because it is in all other animals I can readily think of/know about the maternal antibody transmission of. I know it's limited in apes, and I assume it's the same in humans. I've already given the reasons above. So you're going to have to give me a citation where it says that IgA is actively (or passively) absorbed in a meaningful quantity up to 6 months and beyond. Or IgM or IgG or whatever.

Now, where I think you have your wires crossed is that the half-life of maternal antibodies in most species is right at about 6 months (dependent on the specific immunoglobulin). They're not being constantly passed, they're just still circulating from the initial transfer from the placenta and colostrum.

Included in that 32,000 are all suicides committed with a gun, all police killings, and all civilian self-defense cases.

It's just another way they don't fully portray a fact to try and trick the populace into the 'guns are bad' category.

There's no difference between a knife used as a tool and one that 'exists solely as a weapon'. They'll both fuck you up pretty good.

To be fair, some of us who shoot for sport and collect guns are also half-retarded, lunatic rednecks. According to reddit, at least, since I get that title for just living in Texas apparently.

From someone else above:

79 percent of Americans and 90 percent of gun owners said they believe an individual has the right to own guns, and the amendment is not limited to protecting the rights of state militias. Eighty percent of Americans and 90 percent of gun owners oppose a law that would ban the sale of all handguns.

It's already a thing when it's legal. Make it illegal (thus creating a market for it) and it'll become even more viable.

They're only absorbed for a few days. Beyond that, nothing (or perhaps very little, as absolutes are very rarely correct) is absorbed in the form of immunoglobulins and you're just basically 'washing' the GI tract with IgA.

Antibodies do actively cross the gut from breast milk into the infant's bloodstream.

Yes, for a limited time though. Past a few days there's changes in the child's physiology (trypsin inhibitors go away, immunoglobulin receptors disappear) which take away the ability for the kid to absorb the immunoglobulins (such as immunoglobulin A [IgA]). This is why it's so important to get your child breast feeding immediately so that they don't miss out on the colostrum of the mom.

Humans (and apes) have a great advantage over other animals in that a significant portion of their immunity [IgG, the most specific and effective antibody] is transferred placentally, so even if they don't get a good dosage of colostrum, they have a fighting chance. But all the same, the colostrum goes away in a few days and then you're just left with IgA basically 'washing' the child's intestinal tract.
