WYLB was awesome. We weren't shown the fighting scenes in the streets because it's a television show with a limited budget.

That's true, but the last episode still feels terribly rushed.

While there's certainly much to complain about - should have been bigger, pah-wraith storyline was just plain dumb - after having just watched (last night) the last episode of Voyager, at least it goes about resolving the characters to some extent.

That was fairly important to me, having grown attached to the characters. It was nice to see them say their goodbyes and what-have-yous.

Totally random note. I saw Casey Biggs (Damar) at a con recently, and he told us that he specifically requested or choreographed the "John Woo" death he got. heh.

thats pretty interesting, any other questions you asked him?

This was during his Q&A. I didn't ask it specifically. Another interesting tid bit: he also said that he accidentally let it slip to the actress playing Ziyal that she was dying in the next week's episode. Whoops.

I'm right there with you on all of this and more. The show plays like they were tired of the series and decided to end it as quickly as possible. It's probably just poor season-pacing, though it feels like they wanted to save something for another season. (Which doesn't make sense, because they already had their requisite seven).

I was particularly disappointed by the Breen. They were given such a build-up, like there was something earth-shattering about what they looked like and what their real agenda was.

Sisko's death and/or apotheosis felt weak also. I'm not sure what you mean by "that bitch and Dukat should've both been killed" -- "executed" perhaps? Kai Winn certainly died, vaporized by the possessed Dukat. Then Sisko pushed Dukat into the fire pit, where the both of them were apparently destroyed.

I meant that Kai Winn should've died early in the series. She is my most hated character.

And let me remind you of how un-optomistic the ending was. Millions of Cardassians dead and the Dominion just surrenders? Lame. I really hate how it was as if Damar's gang was the only one rebelling. I also hate how everyone got a slap on the hand. Sure, the female changeling is charged with war crimes, but thats it. Why couldn't the Breen lose territory or something?

I hated Kai Winn, and that's why I like her.

If you "hated" her in DS9, you need to see her (Louise Fletcher) as Nurse Ratched in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." She was awesome in how easy she was to loathe, and rightly earned an Academy Award.

Kai Winn and Lwaxana Troi.

episodes with either, fast forward.

The wost would be if those two had some romantic episode together.

Yeah, I don't really like the way the series ended. For me, it was way to abrupt and to "pat" of an ending -- OH, after all this, Odo has a two-second conversation (meld) with the founder and it's all over. Bada-bing, bada-boom. The whole Dominion War story was SO GOOD, so brutal and epic, and the ending really seems rushed and overly simplistic to me.

Agree as well about the 30 minute love-fest at the end. Not my thing, after seeing it once I usually skip it.

Edit: I also agree with the above poster who is reminding everyone not to downvote someone's opinion! If you liked it, great, tell us why. If you didn't, great, tell us why. Otherwise there is no conversation.

I think this was the least awful of all the last episodes of a Star Trek series. For those of you poo-pooing the last of Voyager: Don't forget about the last episode of Enterprise with Fat Riker.

You think this was better than "All Good Things"?

[–]dreadpiraterose 0 points1 point ago

All Good Things was definitely a good ending. I love DS9 too much to put it above What You Leave Behind, but it was definitely good.

I loved it,and I wouldn't want to change a thing about the final episode.

I will never forgive them for how painfully awkward the last shot of Odo is.

The last episode sucked. It's a shame.

The entire "prophets" storyline is stupid and I hate how they ended the series with that stupid emissary bullshit, but the show apparently didn't have the budget for more CGI battle scenes.

To all you people downvoting, don't downvote people because of their opinion. How can we have good discussions and debates if we just downvote anything we don't agree with.
