Isn't Oct 7, 2011 recent?

[–]cnnelly[S] 1 point2 points ago

I guess that would be recent. It felt like a long time to me though!

Gmail betrayed you, your ex who said "hi" cheated on you, do not betray your current boyfriend by cheating on him with your ex...

I feel sorry for your current boyfriend seeing as you were getting excited over an EX sending you an email even when he has cheated on you, say sorry to your current boyfriend for me...

[–]cnnelly[S] 1 point2 points ago

Oh he isn't my boyfriend yet, we are just casual so far.

[–]MySperm 3 points4 points ago

Can I be your boyfriend?

[–]cnnelly[S] 1 point2 points ago

Of course!

[–]MySperm 3 points4 points ago

haha :P on a serious note, just think before you do something stupid? remember he did cheat on you and if you get back with the EX then he's likely to cheat again

I would never cheat. I couldn't do that to someone.

Clearly he could, and did. Think about it this way, the guy you think he is, isn't him. The guy you love just looks an awful lot like him, but he doesn't exist. The real life guy, only wants you to use you, he wants you as a possession and nothing more, he wants you to stroke his ego, to make himself feel better. You don't mean anything to him and you never ever will. If you like being treated like a disposable object, rock on. He's your man. If you want to be treated like a human most everyone else is better.

Good luck.

Y'know, if you hope to find a girl that'll seriously get "casual" with you, don't go "on a serious note, blah blah…"

Seems legit to me. Ask what he wants.

Loving a person is easy BUT stoping yourself from loving a person is difficult.

I'm puzzled. You still email every couple of months? Then if the last time was October you are about due. Is it your turn or his?

As he replied quickly, you needn't be longing for him. I am sorry it made you feel bad anyway.

Yes we still email, sometimes I don't answer, sometimes I do. I wish I hadn't this time!

Sweet cookies and cream! I am right there with you!!!!!

For some reason my Iphone messages and emails take a very long time to go through. Sometimes it takes hours to get a message out to someone. A few times I've sent emails to my ex and he didn't receive them until an awkward amount of time later.

I have folders upon folders, filled with pictures, notes, screenshots, conversations, and emails from my ex. I don't have the heart to delete them yet.

It's nice to see you've met a great guy, and able to move on. You will probably always love your ex, and the casual emails are nice. But I don't think you are hung up on him. If my ex emailed me today, I would feel a butterfly in my tummy too. But I doubt it would change anything.

I'm not sure your ex sees the humor in this little internet misunderstanding. But once you explain it, I'm sure he will understand.

If you are not over this first guy even though he was a dick and cheated on. You might have some self esteem problems. We often have very jaded memories of the past, especially people we cared for. An ex is and ex for a reason. Always remember that. You should remember the bad and why it didn't work. This will help you move on. Time heals all wounds, the scars remain but the wounds are closed.

Apart from the surplus period, you also have excess assumptions in your sentence.

We all have self-esteem issues. And you are talking about a 7-year relationship, which is a first love, that ended barely two years ago (and its ashes are stirred every few months or so)...

[–]cnnelly[S] 2 points3 points ago

I don't think I have a self esteem problem, I just think its difficult to completely move on from a relationship that was emotionally invested, in every way, for 7 years of my life.

[–]htb2050 0 points1 point ago

7 years??? That had to hurt. I hope you are better now and find a loving and understanding bf.

well so here is a good lesson for some people.
