Are you sure it's chipping and not lead or powder residue? Actual chipping around the muzzle crown would be highly unusual for a number of reasons.

Is it actually chipped or worn finish? I honestly can't tell from the pics.

If it is chipped, contact Glock for warranty repair, there's no reason not to.

Can you retake the picture using the macro mode on your camera? It's the button with the picture of a flower on it.

Is it really a chip or is the finish coming off?
