First off, I never noticed this while watching the series (which I recently re-watched) so kudos to you for noticing.

Second, she isn't completely gone, a few random episode glances show her in episodes 10x05, 11x06, 12x04 and 12x07 at least.

Third, Connie is voiced by Lauren Tom who also voices Minh (and Amy Wong on Futurama) so as long as Minh or Connie has a voice role I can't see any problems with the voice actress.

My only guess is that they ran out of ideas for Connie and began to focus on the other characters.

Could be. Someone suggested to me that they might have ditched Connie for the same reason Janice Rand was ditched in the original Star Trek--to give the male lead (Bobby in this case) greater opportunity to get involved with a variety of girls to open up more types of plots. Unlike with Star Trek, though, most of Bobby's subsequent romantic interests were much more forgettable than the girl who was replaced, IMHO.

And kudos, your cameo-catching skills are obviously much superior to mine.

Wow, not only did i never notice that she disappeared, but I find it hard to fathom that she was only in 10 episodes. Actually, I 'm gonna say right now just of the top of my head that that figure is wrong. No fucking way.

I'll be back after I do some research.

According to http://kingofthehill.wikia.com/wiki/Connie_Souphanousinphone

She was only in 10 episodes total anyway.

Q was in only 8 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. But he was remembered because his character had an impact.

Same with Connie. She stands out so prominently because her character was the catalyst for some of the best episodes of the series. I think Bobbie finally came into his own as a real character instead of just a jumbled bunch of Hank-frustrating cliches when Connie came into the picture. To me, that show was always about Hank and Bobby at its center, and Connie is the character that brought out the best in Bobby, comedically and otherwise.

Maybe I'm overanalyzing a little, but only because I really liked that show.

On an unrelated KOTH note, "Pretty, pretty dresses" is easily the best Christmas special in an animated series that I've seen.

Did you guys know there were 4 more episodes played on other tv stations? I had no idea, now I've got to try to find them and watch them.

I cant believe she was in so few episodes, but in all honesty she wasn't ever a very interesting character IMO.

She was on it, just a very minor role.
