All the shit heads from high school will shit a brick next time they see you. Great job, dude.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 107 points108 points ago

haha thanks. I've ran into people from school and they dont recognize me till I say something, then they realize who I am. I think they were all surprised cause they probably didn't think I would ever be smaller. This was my version of revenge to all the kids that were scrawny in high school and made fun of me. It makes me feel good about myself.

[–]Vehshya 84 points85 points ago

Us scrawny kids were made fun of to.

[–]Slim01111Basketball, Weightlifting (Intermediate) 41 points42 points ago

Yes, yes we were

[–]tsahandjob 28 points29 points ago

ya i was 132lbs as a 6'1" male. going through high school and being called spaghetti legs is no fun, jokes on them now though, i look great and they are all fat

[–]Vehshya 9 points10 points ago

5'10" at 120lbs here for the last 8 years or so.

I am now up to 143lbs after 7 months of work.

[–]Zalanicht 4 points5 points ago

Up from 145 to 160 in 7 months of the gym and alot of carbs and proteins.

[–]HornyNarwhal 1 point2 points ago

What'd you do?

[–]Vehshya 2 points3 points ago

Routine: StrongLifts Diet: Half GOMAD for a month. Now I just eat around 3,000 calories a day.

/r/gainit has a lot of good information.

[–]HornyNarwhal 0 points1 point ago

Thanks!

[–]Greglast 0 points1 point ago

I went from 6'1" and 135lbs to 6'2" and 260 lbs. I'm back down to 225 right now. Getting there. I've been on both ends.

[–]thefinsaredamplately 4 points5 points ago

I'm 6' and was a 130lbs in June, I'm 183 as of today.

[–]I_am_salad 6 points7 points ago

Hell, 200lbs as a 6'5" male and I look like this

(My 20 year old college friend wearing my coat as comparison, she's 4' something)

[–]Robotra 2 points3 points ago

Do you row?

[–]I_am_salad 1 point2 points ago

Right now my fitness regimen consists of the walk from home to the chippers.

Aiming to change that, obviously.

I've never done rowing (in a boat) but I've used the gym machines.

[–]Robotra 2 points3 points ago

Please do it right. Also, you should consider it because all you have to be in order to be good at it is tall and dedicated.

[–]I_am_salad 2 points3 points ago

Well aware of that technique.

I used to be quite fit about 5 years ago, mostly athletics, bit of everything, no weights (teen).

Had some... aesthetic issues to work through. Suffice to say I was in no mood to bulk up with muscle, and tried to lose some bulk by inactivity. Obviously I had no idea what I was doing.

At the moment my aim is simply to lose about 20lbs (belly fat, etc) and get fit (cardio-wise) and regain flexibility. Joined the gym just 2 weeks ago, so I'm starting something, at least.

[–]DonAlonzo 0 points1 point ago

Up from 60 kg (130 lbs) in high school to 82 kg (180 lbs) now. 183 cm (6"0'). No fat. Took a long time and a lot of discipline, and I regret absolutely nothing.

[–]Doug8760 0 points1 point ago

I feel ya, same here. when I was 17 I went into the U.S. Marine Corps (2006) and the day left for boot camp I got weighed in at 138lbs (6'1''). Three months later when I came back home I was at 175lbs. Went down to a steady 165 for next 4 years, then over the past year I've went up to 195lbs I plan to get back down to 180 but more muscle and less fat. I'm currently at 190.

[–]menthapiperita 0 points1 point ago

Seconded. 120, 6'0, and pale didn't work out too well.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point ago

Too*

[–]CockBlocker 8 points9 points ago

The best revenge is massive success.

[–]jimibulgin 1 point2 points ago

It makes me feel good about myself.

Well I certainly hope so!! :-)

[–]Michaelllllll 1 point2 points ago

The best kind of revenge is the sort that helps you without hurting them.

[–]omgdood 1 point2 points ago

Fantastic job! Don't ever go back!

[–]manbearwilson 1 point2 points ago

You will find that all the meat heads and cheerleaders in HS will get fat. The tables will turn in your favor man. Good job.

[–]gg_h4x_ 64 points65 points ago

Holy shit

[–]dhshdhsfk21 56 points57 points ago

I don't see the resemblance at all from the first to last - your body recomposition is no doubt impressive, but how different your face appears after the weight loss is insane, you're very handsome now (from a gay dude).

[–]WalterWhite_Jr 23 points24 points ago

I agree, he's a dapper looking fellow. (from a straight dude -- gf also agree's).

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points ago

that's pretty gay

[–]dhshdhsfk21 22 points23 points ago*

Ah dude that's not cool only a compliment no need for homophobia I mean come on it's 2012 relax just let me see if it fits once or twice.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points ago

relax just let me see if it fits once or twice.

oh

[–]SquareRoot 1 point2 points ago

Can someone please point me to a youtube link where he has this face?

[–]TrololololXD 0 points1 point ago

Oh my.

[–]Michaelllllll 0 points1 point ago

Agreed. You got hit, man.

[–]bluereverend 24 points25 points ago

How'd you do it?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 48 points49 points ago

Lots of will power at first to go. I gave up video games and started goin to the gym after i got off work on weekdays and i would go for 3 hours at a time. I made some friends up there with guys that were 4 times my size but all muscle and i started lifting with them. they helped me a lot. then it just became habit and now I do it 6 days a week for an hour a day.

[–]CydeWeys 51 points52 points ago

Hahaha, I love it.

"How'd you lose all that weight?" "Well, I go to the gym six times a week ..."

No one said it was gonna be easy! Congratulations on all the hard work paying off.

[–]mycreativeusername 12 points13 points ago

Looking good man! Looks like you've filled that frame back in pretty nicely with muscle. Would love to see a before pic! Keep up the good work. You lifting much? If so, what are your lifts right now?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 12 points13 points ago

Thanks! I updated the link with before pics. My bench is 245 max, My squat is only 225. My curl hasn't been maxed, but normally i do 35x10, 45x10, 55x10. My leg press maxes at about 360-380.

[–]finjetsu 10 points11 points ago

no deadlifts?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 4 points5 points ago

i rarely do deadlift cause i have a really weak lower back. But I have dead lifted 225 8 times before. I can shrug 365 10 times with straps, its just hard to hold the bar and when i bend over doing dead lifts, it feels like my tendons are going to snap.

[–]gmac123 38 points39 points ago

Weak lower back because you don't deadlift, mine used to be shit too

Also, posture man.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 6 points7 points ago

I know. I was never big with dead lifting. I've been working on it recently though. So it will get better over time.

[–]Cgod77 2 points3 points ago

girl here. nice pics. this is how I modified deadlifts, I use a cable pull and stand on a 'step aerobics' 4 inch platform. Put the cable pull pully close to the floor, stand on the step-up platform with a wide stance. I think I started with 80lbs x5 reps and worked my way up from there. You probably already know to make sure you are bending at the hip socket only, and to not lock your knees. Put a dowel/stick in your pants up your back if you aren't sure if you are keeping your back straight (you should have a tiny curve in at middle of your lumbar spine, you need that).

Best part... no weights to put away, just a step :)

[–]Thomsenite 1 point2 points ago

I just started and like doing the deadlifts because I can feel it in my lower back. Maybe try back extensions if thats better?

[–]sicnevol 0 points1 point ago

I liked deads, and I do reverse hyper extensions too.

[–]finjetsu 1 point2 points ago

fair enough, regardless good progress with the working out!

[–]mitchrodee 1 point2 points ago

The best way to support a weak lower back is to have strong abs.

[–]MeaninglessDebateMan 13 points14 points ago

Quick question: I was in the same boat as you except I've only started about a month ago. I have some pretty bad stretch marks. Did you? And how do they appear now?

Thanks

[–]swhittley1016[S] 31 points32 points ago

I did too. and I still have them. But they fade over time. I bought some stretch mark lotion from walgreens for like 8 dollars that lasted me a few months. you put it on every night before bed and every morning when you get dressed. It worked pretty well. You can't tell i have stretch marks unless your like up close. the only thing i am working on still is the extra skin. I lost weight soo fast that I have a little loose stomach skin. A good way to get rid of it is work on your abs A LOT!! and drink a lot of water. about a milk jug full everyday. water helps your skin regain elasticity.

[–]MeaninglessDebateMan 5 points6 points ago

Cool thanks man. I've been looking into ways to deal with extra skin but its good to hear it directly from someone.

Congrats!

[–]Michaelllllll 2 points3 points ago

Your best option is to hydrate, and to lose weight in a slow and steady way. The slower the better where skin is concerned, but not for getting the results you want. Your skin will eventually snap back, but you should expect a slight bit of looseness for a while. It's an unfortunate side effect, but worth the wait.

[–]Conman93 10 points11 points ago

This guy knows his stuff.

[–]daftroses 161 points162 points ago

Jesus fuck you're handsome.

[–]charles4308 29 points30 points ago

I agree 1000%.

[–]screwdirections 15 points16 points ago

You won't kiss.

[–]charles4308 10 points11 points ago

Too Late.

[–]oh_god_im_lost 14 points15 points ago

Straight male and this was my first thought.

Good for you, man.

[–]Ilajnatap 0 points1 point ago

How old am I?

[–]pleaseenjoyyourstay 18 points19 points ago

You are now officially a babe. Go on over to that dude fashion subreddit and pick out some new t-shirts. You definitely need to show off the abs a bit more. No skanky guido-tight shirts, just a little more fitted.

[–]Epenth 7 points8 points ago

OP, your presence is requested at /r/malefashionadvice.

[–]pleaseenjoyyourstay 0 points1 point ago

I graciously concede vis à vis the request. By whom is my presence requested?

[–]wuddafudge 10 points11 points ago

duuuuude... awesome. how much bolivian marching powder did you have to injest in order to ward off your appetite?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 8 points9 points ago

haha. It was hard, but at first, I took a couple things. I got some creatine monohydrate, some protein powder. I took a pro-hormone called methyl arimatest. I only took it to cut fat faster. I got multi-vitamin packs from GNC. and Jack3d as a pre-workout.

[–]revmuun 4 points5 points ago

A friend of mine was trying to talk to me about methyl arimatest the other day, but my mind was on other things at the time. Now that I've googled it and see it for sale at bodybuilding.com, I have to ask: did you experience any appreciable side effects other than the weight loss (and I guess muscle gain if you were lifting at the time)? How long did you use it?

Great progress man, by the way.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

The fact that it helped me drop 25lbs in a month was a bonus, but the muscle gain was also good. What it is suppose to do is stop your body from producing estrogen, and boosts your bodies natural testosterone production. in no shape or form is it a steroid. it's just a natural hormone booster. I only bought it once and used it till it was gone. im pretty sure it was a 45 day supply. but thats all i needed.

[–]revmuun 1 point2 points ago

Sounds good man.

Yeah, it's a pro-hormone, and it looks like part of the package is an aromatase inhibitor. I was mostly wondering if you felt more aggressive due to the increase in testosterone, but it looks like you didn't. Awesome. Thanks for the response; I'll probably give the stuff a go in a month or so.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

haha its funny you mention the agressivness. i do have kind of a short temper but nobody messed with me when i was taking it so i didnt ever flip out. i did pre apologize to everyone before i started taking it though just incase something did happen.

[–]dextini 1 point2 points ago

How far into your transformation did you start taking methyl arimatest? This doesn't sound like something you should take right off the bat. I've been working out regularly for about a month now so I don't think that would be something I would need just yet. What would you recommend?

And excellent results! Keep up the good work!

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago*

I took methyl arimatest in really late december of 2010 and through to early february 2011. it was a 45 day supply. I only took it cause i read it was good. but it does have side effects that i took a big risk with. make sure you read the fine print!!!

edit: spelling

[–]brownmatt 1 point2 points ago

25 pounds in one month? Jesus.

[–]almightyzam 0 points1 point ago

Is this the brand of methyl arimatest you're talking about? I'm looking to buy some type of fat burner and was wondering if you would recommend this or some sort of thermogenic fat burner.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

If your looking for just a fat burner and your not too sure about the hormone booster, i would use oxyelite pro. it's not anywhere close to being cheap, but it will definitely help.

[–]alkior70 8 points9 points ago

fitness and nutrition plan? how many hours a day working out? how many days a week? thy must know!!

[–]swhittley1016[S] 16 points17 points ago

FITNESS PLAN: When i first started lifting, i would go to the gym and sit in the sauna for 5-10 minutes, then do about 15-20 minutes of cardio. that was first every time i went to the gym. monday i would do Chest and Biceps. tuesday was legs and shoulders, wednesday was back and triceps, thursday was abs and cardio and traps(shoulders), friday was chest and back, and saturday was cardio and abs and whatever i felt like adding in. For each muscle group i would do 4 different workouts, i would do 4 sets for each workout, and depending on the workout, i would do anywhere from 10-20 reps. NUTRITION PLAN: I cut out almost all sugar except for natural sugars in fruits. I stopped drinking pop and drank almost always waters and powerade zero. Powerade zero is now my favorite drink cause they taste good and have no carbs or sugar or anything fatty or bad. kroger sells them for a dollar all the time. In the morning i would eat carbs(Oatmeal/wheaties fuel with skim milk). For lunch i would have chicken breasts and rice or chicken breasts and a baked potato or veggies. between lunch and dinner i would take a protein shake. And for dinner i would eat a salad with a small amount of chicken and i would drink a protein shake right before bed. HOURS A DAY AND DAYS A WEEK: I would go from 6-9pm monday through friday and i would go saturday when i woke up for about 2 hours because i was on my own on saturdays.

[–]yellowfish04 5 points6 points ago

haha, you call it "pop", you must be from my neck of the woods... minnesota, north dakota, wisconsin?

Anyway, nothing really to add, just really impressed with what you did. I have gym motivation issues, I'm gonna try to be more like you.

[–]the5nowman 3 points4 points ago

or Canada

[–]swhittley1016[S] 3 points4 points ago

haha more like Ohio. But, i had gym motivation issues too. the guys i met there were funny and always cool people to be around. Making friends at the gym is easy, just start by askin someone who looks like they know what they are doin for advice on technique and posture.

[–]blue41at_sea 0 points1 point ago

or utah

[–]alkior70 3 points4 points ago

people better recognize, what type of cardio?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 6 points7 points ago

elliptical. I would push myself as hard as i could for 15-20 minutes. and i would get tired with that and get on the bike and do that for about 10 minutes.

[–]jbcatie 4 points5 points ago

A few years ago I replaced powerade zero with Coconut water - it tastes like sweat at first, but you get used to the taste. Zico and other brands make multiple flavors so you can become accustomed to the taste. GREAT way to hydrate!

[–]bellybuttonrapist 7 points8 points ago

Great way, just so much more expensive.

[–]sometimedosa 0 points1 point ago

Also coconut water has very high potassium. Gotta be careful with that.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points ago

taking notes

I gotta fix my diet a bit, need to stop sodas. Also need to spend a bit more time in the gym.

You are inspiring!

[–]DocHopper 6 points7 points ago

Great now get a decent haircut.

[–]blondiee_x17 5 points6 points ago

My jaw just dropped. Holy. Shit. You look fantastic.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points ago

Excellent, dude! I love hearing stories like this. You are your own greatest source of happiness. You have seized it by the balls! Keep it up!

[–]screwdirections 24 points25 points ago*

before pic or it didn't happen.

edit: I see you posted the before pics, I retract my comment!

on another note: good fucking job. very inspiring.

[–]xLowDown 2 points3 points ago

Nice job man! I love seeing stories like this.

[–]JackImpact 2 points3 points ago

Good job bro!

[–]chrisll 2 points3 points ago

Good job!

[–]thedonkdonk 2 points3 points ago

I am glad I am on track for this. You look good man. So far I am down 45lbs from 260.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

Awesome. you should feel like nothing can stop you now. the first 10 is the easiest but the first 40 is the hardest. the rest should start falling off cause your body is use to you doing more so it requires more food. I eat like a pig now and wont gain weight as long as i eat healthy foods. a good way to beat hunger, is a protein shake. 160 calories on average with 30 grams of protein and a bunch of vitamins/nutrients/and amino acids that your body needs. you dont have to fill yourself to be satisfied. just give your body a small portion of the right food and you'll be fine.

[–]LosAngelesSean 2 points3 points ago

Nicely done. I was 269 in May of 2011 and right now I am at 202 with an eventual goal of 195. Hard work but well worth it.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

congratulations!! we all have to start somewhere. Looks like your almost there. I wish you best of luck on the last 7 pounds, and keepin it off. make sure you just diet right from now on.

[–]LivingDaylight 2 points3 points ago

Looking good man.

Do you notice a difference in the way people treat you?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 4 points5 points ago

i've been yelled at by girls in parking lots sayin im hott and i've had several ladies hit on me. and in grocery stores in the check out line, women seem to have no problem standing 1 inch from either my ass or side. kinda as if they were smelling me or something.

[–]SquareRoot 2 points3 points ago

That's awesome. How has this changed your social outlook? Your perception of others? Your self-confidence?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

I wouldn't say my social outlook has changed much. im still friends with the people that i was friends with back when i was overweight. my perception of others hasn't changed except for the people who now talk to me that i'm not overweight, i tend to stay away from them because they didn't like me when i was overweight but now that i'm skinny, they do.. and thats not right to me. My self-confidence is definitely better. I feel good about myself every day i go to the gym because i know it's a healthy choice.

[–]LivingDaylight 1 point2 points ago

I don't get the cat calls but the standing close thing for sure.

Again, awesome stuff. Congrats on being a sexy motherfucker.

[–]marcusclarkus 2 points3 points ago

Congrats man, you look like a whole new person. I think the neck/face fat loss is what changed your look the most. Honestly I don't think you need a goal of 170. You could probably hover around 180 for winter and continue to lose fat while gaining muscle.

[–]flojomcfly 1 point2 points ago

i agree. awesome work OP, very impressive, but i dont think you need to be losing any more weight, just continue on with body re-composition.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

yes, but even soo. with the loose skin, not all of my abs show. so i wanna lose all the fat i can, and then i'll bulk from there.

[–]Alphanova1 1 point2 points ago

WOW! You look phenomenal! Me Gusta

[–]Praestigium 1 point2 points ago

Just out of curiosity, what was your standard gym routine?

PS: Looking good, brotha!

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

When i first started lifting, i would go to the gym and sit in the sauna for 5-10 minutes, then do about 15-20 minutes of cardio. that was first every time i went to the gym. monday i would do Chest and Biceps. tuesday was legs and shoulders, wednesday was back and triceps, thursday was abs and cardio and traps(shoulders), friday was chest and back, and saturday was cardio and abs and whatever i felt like adding in. For each muscle group i would do 4 different workouts, i would do 4 sets for each workout, and depending on the workout, i would do anywhere from 10-20 reps.

[–]Praestigium 1 point2 points ago

Solid program, man! I've been thinking of doing something similar, currently my workout routine is:

  • 20 mins of Cardio

  • Assisted Dips and Chin ups.

  • Bench Press or Incline Bench Press

  • Deadlifts

  • Leg extensions

I don't feel like I'm getting the most out of my work out and shoul probably try organising and structuring it similar to yours.

[–]mucusplug 3 points4 points ago

There's some good info in the sidebar for routines.

[–]Praestigium 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I'll check it out, thanks!

[–]swhittley1016[S] 2 points3 points ago

That is a good idea. I started off doing everything mixed together and didnt see all too many results. When i met the guys I lift with, they told me about their schedule and i started following it and noticed results a lot faster. I learned that you have to give your muscles a lot of rest for atleast 3-5 days before straining them again. The only reason i do chest and back twice in a week, is because it's two of the biggest and most noticeable muscle groups. But i make sure when i workout my arms and legs, i make it where i can hardly bend my arms and where i can hardly walk right. That tells me i've torn the muscles down and they are rebuilding. then when the pain is gone, i do it again. that's how you know they get bigger. but make sure when you do this, atleast take creatine and alargnine. Alarganine is an amino acid that helps muscle repair. creatine when fill your muscles with water to help them from being sore and fill your joints as well for kind of an extra cushion when you lift so you dont get really sore in your joints.

[–]Tayto2000 1 point2 points ago

Congratulations dude. Great job.

[–]vladh 1 point2 points ago

YES! Good for you man. Congrats. You look like a great guy too.

[–]9999px 1 point2 points ago

Holy cow, dude, way to go! Very inspirational.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

[–]wilkinsk 1 point2 points ago

good stuff man, thanks for the motivation.

[–]eahnor 1 point2 points ago

You should be an inspiration to every living human being. At least teenagers :)

[–]heykidsitscoxKinesiology, Physiology (Student) 1 point2 points ago

Fucking awesome man, seriously, that's incredible.

Hopefully you're living your life to the fullest now. That amount of work is something to really be proud of.

[–]Astheny 1 point2 points ago

You, Sir are a motivation for me! I started working out in December, and I hope I'm going to be as muscular as you after 1 year 4 months!

[–]Meloman0001 1 point2 points ago

I'm proud of you, son.

[–]hxcNoah 1 point2 points ago

nicely done bro, that's how it's done

[–]Yuforic 1 point2 points ago

Congratulations bro! Honestly, it sounds like we both went through the same exact situation, and I know how you feel, it feels fucking amazing doesn't it? Once again, props for getting to your goal brotha!

[–]whirlingderv 1 point2 points ago

Wow, I thought in the first three pics, wow, he is handsome, then I hit the fourth and my jaw literally dropped (not the idiot form of literally, either, the real, literal, one). Hot damn, boy, good job!!

[–]sometimesimweird 1 point2 points ago

Wow that is dedication and hard work! Congrats!

[–]JPize 1 point2 points ago

Guy with the opposite story, here. Was a skinny, feeble weakling in HS and was laughed at by the girls.

Got fit and everything else changed. So I know exactly how you feel, man.

Big props to you. Most people never bother to work to improve themselves. You have. Apply that to other areas of life and you'll always succeed.

[–]renegadesc0ut 0 points1 point ago

What did you do to gain weight?

[–]JPize 0 points1 point ago

Completely tailored my diet to a high protein, low fat diet. Made sure to eat robustly, such as including many mixed nuts (wash the salt off first), blueberries, broccoli, spinach, and yogurt.

Tried to hit about 130 grams of protein per day (which was about 1 gram per lb of body weight).

And drank whey protein supplements (buy the large tubs for the bulk pricing). Tried to get around 70+ grams protein from food (won't detail high protein foods, here, but obviously low-fat meat and eggs work well) and drink a couple of protein shakes (mixed with water) a day.

Also, made sure to drink a shake immediately after my workout.

Wasn't an overnight change, but like OP over the course of a year my body became radically different.

Just make sure to hit the gym at least 4x a week. All the protein in the world won't matter if you don't put the hard work in.

[–]keeleyaurora 1 point2 points ago

You look like you grew up by about 4 years as well!

[–]FLT 1 point2 points ago

Effin jock.. oh wait... no.

Way to go shattering stereotypes!

[–]ABTechie 1 point2 points ago

Congrats!

[–]mobiusrage 1 point2 points ago

Fucking awesome dude, nice work. I don't think you need to go any lower, just start building muscle. Work on getting your squat higher, if you don't feel you're doing it right buy starting strength 3rd edition. Good luck!

[–]pluffmudpie 1 point2 points ago

Damn, son! My jaw dropped. You look fantastic!

[–]grotesque_awareness 1 point2 points ago

[–]spinozasrobot 1 point2 points ago

I agree with some of the other folks here, your cut may be done. But whatever your loss goal is, you have room for growth too, so please don't stop, keep lifting heavy things!

[–]cellardoordxd 1 point2 points ago

[–]Afrorobotics 1 point2 points ago

As someone who was in your position, and is now in a similar level of fitness, good on you brother.

[–]iilovemiley 1 point2 points ago

Wow man that's awesome, i gave up trying to lose wait due to the large, large amount of stretch marks (I'm about 240 i think) I would really like a few tips to help me out, i don't live close to a gym but i have bike/roller blades. Its hard to ride a bike in the winter in 4 feet of snow. I do have an elliptical and treadmill downstairs, im just afraid i will have a heart attack if i go too long D:

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

go as long as you can on the elliptical. if you have to, start with walking on the treadmill and slowly up your speed each 10 minute period. get to like a light jog, then jump on the elliptical. I had soo many times where i thought i was gonna black out and pass out on the elliptical and i pushed through it. i used to plateau at about 8-12 minutes. but i would just push myself knowing that if i didnt, then i would be giving up and stay fat. Soo i would push myself soo much and id break through that plateau and then it would be easy. My muscles would get use to it and i would just keep going. I'd even keep telling myself just 2 more minutes, but i would keep going.

[–]Atari6900 1 point2 points ago

Way to kill it dude. Nice work.

[–]anthony0123lol 1 point2 points ago

This is so inspirin man, i weigh almost what you did when you started and have the same waist line(44) but im fifteen. I desperately want to lose weight and gave up games and started working out a month ago. What did you do exactly that lost you so much weight? If you could tell me in detail id love tjat, im trying super hard but with minimal results. What do you do at the gym?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

I just lift weights. I push myself till i litterally can't lift the weight off myself, and then force myself to do more. that's what it takes to get quicker results, and to me it was worth it. I wouldn't rely on just cardio because it does work, but not as well as lifting weights.

[–]anthony0123lol 1 point2 points ago

Did/does lifting weights help lose weight? Also great results again!

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

lifting weights helps lose weight more than cardio.

[–]S7Epic 1 point2 points ago

Your story is essentially the same as mine. Hopefully mine will yield the same results too.

Keep up the good work you handsome bastard and thanks for the inspiration.

[–]Lemara 1 point2 points ago

You look gret ! gudjob

[–]ace0fskulls 1 point2 points ago

[–]GorillaJ 1 point2 points ago

Grats, man. Gotta say I'm jealous :) you're now two years my junior and you've made the progress I've still failed to. Keep it up, you're added to my inspiration list!

[–]burgercollegedropout 2 points3 points ago

261 in your before pic? People called you fat? Lol, that's not fat. You look like a big boy, you should've just punched them all in the face. Look good now though. I bet you get all the bitches. Good job.

[–]JesseJaymz 1 point2 points ago

Ditch the logo shirts, for real. And before people sperg downvote this, it's not an insult. It's sensible advice.

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

I only wear them cause they fit and they were free. I'm still changing so I want to wait to buy clothes so they actually fit me for more than a few weeks.

[–]shivalry 0 points1 point ago

Thought this was talking about age for nonzero seconds. Dumbass.

[–]ubboater 0 points1 point ago

What did you do between Nov 15 and 21?

[–]swhittley1016[S] 1 point2 points ago

just workout. there was no real change in that one week. those are just before pictures i found. Remember, captions are on bottom of pictures.

[–]zoo-we-do-wop-bop 0 points1 point ago

Yo man, well played. Do you do any cardio and if so what?

Also, how quick did you go from being overweight to 'skinny'

[–]swhittley1016[S] 0 points1 point ago

i usually always do the elliptical machine for 10-30 minutes. and it took me till about april/may from when i started. i was down to 180 in the beginning of april but wasnt as muscular. now im more muscle and less fat so my weight is slowly going up but not too much.

[–]gamer4443 0 points1 point ago

Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.
