Agreed. The 54GL and the old (2003/4ish) 54G's are some of the best consumer routers ever made in my book. The new ones, on the other hand, are utter rubbish.

Plus, with DD-WRT or Tomato, they can work as bridges, and they're far cheaper than buying wifi adapters for consoles and such.

I have and like this one

Gigabit ports, Wireless N, USB for network storage, you can flash it with dd-wrt.

Since last November.

Except for a few instances of power outages it has been up continuously since then.

I only have 1 N device, wife's laptop, but we haven't had any trouble with it.

Guess you're on your own. I just bought a cheap Rosewill from newegg. Pretty standard, but cheap for 802.11n

I am by no means an expert, but all I can say is don't go cheap. I always think I can save a few bucks and they crap out within a month.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but since this got brought up I too have been looking to get a new router. What I have right now works but I was messing around with gigabit Ethernet the other day and instantly became addicted to the pure speed. Now I am looking into getting a gigabit router with wireless N. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

I don't have a whole lot of money and when it comes down to it its really not that important so unless I find a really great deal i probably wouldn't get anything but I figured I would throw it out there. Perhaps someone here knows something I don't.

(btw my computers are wireless N compatible so I would actually be able to use it)
