So I've owned my Lenovo x61s for about 18 months. I love the battery life, small size, and until today, the build quality. It looks like even Lenovo has not found a solution for the well-known "rolling out of bed and forgetting the laptop is on the floor" vulnerability. It's $300+ for an LCD on eBay, as I some bizarre "ultralight" variant.
I'd like to get another laptop that's small and light enough to carry around the house or toss in a backpack without much effort. Solid battery life would be helpful. I don't think I'm likely to find anything that takes PCMCIA cards, but that would be nice as I've got a Verizon cellular card from work.
I think I should hold out for an ION 2 netbook, but does anyone have a first generation ION netbook? How does the battery hold out under Hulu use? Are there other great little rigs I should consider?
